<description>I am going through the same scenario right now, I am in an apartment and my lease expired before we&#039;ve found the house, I talked to the apartment we were at, I was happy with our current rent, it was about 750, and they said they could only do long term contracts and i want to be out by first of april, so I went and told them about it and how I would have to move instead, so they put me into a 4 month contract at my old rate too. you should also check for a lease amendment or addendum that lets you break your contract with no penalty should you purchase a home.
