While I’m not an avid TV fan (too many of my shows get cancelled
), I’m always curious to see what new shows pop up
I’m going to watch another episode or two of each of the shows, but for now I wanted to share my snapshot judgments based on the pilots I viewed.
Charlie’s Angels
The show has the same breezy vibe of the movies. Eye candy for sure, but it’s supposed to be a fun show not a serialized character drama. I’d watch this show if I wanted to relax early Thursday evening, but if I miss it I’m not complaining.
Unforgettable
The complete opposite of the show’s title. I like the actors, but the crime, dialogue, and her special gift were boring. I was hoping this would would be a fun show, like Life mixed with House, but instead it just feels like a cookie cutter kind of a show.
Prime Suspects (Thursdays @ 10pm on NBC)
I really enjoyed the introduction of the series and found Detective Timoney funny and interesting. The case wasn’t special – just enough given to show off Timoney’s talent in solving crimes. I hope future episodes will highlight the cases a bit more, but the pilot did an excellent job setting up the conflict and cautious respect between the characters.
What are some of your favorite shows this season? What has been a disappointment?
