May Fuel Challenge Check-In #3

In order to produce the podcast and keep content up free for you, I work with partners so this post may contain affiliate links. Please read my full disclosure for more info.

May is rushing buy and it's already time to do another progress update on the May King/Queen Fuel Challenge.

As the contest winds down, don't quit if you're having a hard time meeting your goals. There are plenty of opportunities to win. If you have a hybrid – please speak up! I haven't heard from any hybrid owners yet. That's a big win for anybody to swoop in and grab it.

Please also to remember to keep your receipts for your fuel-up for verification should you win. You only need to keep the receipt with the highest gas mileage.

If you want a way to keep track of your fuel-ups, Fuelly is a very helpful tool for that. I've signed up as ElleCMB. You can add me and see my progress in real time.

My Progress and the MPGs to Shoot For

I'm happy to say that I've improved from last week where I got a measly 22.8 miles per gallon with that tank. After some changes including switching routes and times for driving, I have increased it to 25.9 miles per gallon.

If you're curious to see how you stack up, here are the results for the sedan/coupe group and the truck/SUV  group.

Do you think you can beat these numbers? Please follow me on Twitter (for sedans & coupes and for truck, SUVs, and hybrids) and let me know how you're doing.

Thoughts on the Fuel Challenge

I’d love to hear from you and your challenge and the progress you've made. Please remember if you're in the challenge to leave your progress in the comments below – it’s encouraging to all of us and a way for us to see how each other is doing.

If you have any tips that you’ve used and have seen an improvement please share them as well.
