One of the best ways you two can build your marriage and money is by going on more dates.
If you've been reading this site or listened to the podcast, you know how I feel about money dates.
They can be wonderful opportunities to not just review the numbers but have some candid conversations about what you want to accomplish together.
With a few ground rules in place, you two can create plans to help you reach your goals much quicker than if you go it alone.
If you haven't been on one, my buddy (and financial planner) Shannon McLay and I had a great discussion on how to set up money dates.

Of course, it's also important to have regular date nights as couple. They allow you a chance to connect and relax together.
As parents of two little ones, we know it can be tough, but it's well worth the effort.

$20 Date Night Challenge
Last summer we did the $20 Date Night Challenge and was a ton of fun.
So what is the challenge? We're going to inspire one another to go out on more dates, but not break our budget.
Starting this week, each Friday I'll share some date night ideas you two can do that should cost no more than $20.
We're talking about eating out, catching concerts, and having some downtime as a couple.
And to make this a bit more interesting, we're having a contest. You can win some cash for more dates!
